Many of you have asked if I was sad the wedding planning and the wedding itself was over. Honestly. No. Not yet, at least. I can’t imagine that I will, either.
Ssrly. I’m ecstatic that the planning is over. Too many crazy things were swirling around in my already crazy head. Details, paper, printing, ink, going back and forth with my reception vendor. I felt like I didn’t have time for friends and family. Don’t get me wrong. I LOVE this wedding planning business. Really. I love WRITING about it too. But, I think I’d be a much cooler cucumber if it wasn’t my own… you know?
I felt like the wedding planning was a spider that had spun its pretty little web around me.
Now, the actual Wedding Day. It. Was. It was like being able to touch a rainbow, or sit on a cloud or actually see love.
And you know what? I can’t imagine not having hired a videographer. (Thanks Mom! Read this…She made me…) Because, I get to see snippets of the day and feel it all over again. And, it makes me. Happy. And, it makes me run over and kiss my husband and hug the dog and call my mom and tell her I love her.
Life is so. Good.
I don’t have any wedding pics yet.
So I posted this. I’m working on collecting them online. Soon.

NOTE: Videographer pricing has changed since my original 2008 post. Just sayin’!

I love you, Baby. It was a beautiful day.. start to finish. It’s going to be nice to have a video since it’s a big, beautiful blur of a memory. I can’t imagine what the finished product will be like after only viewing the snippet…Absolutely..FABULOUS I’d say!!!!!LOL!!!!!

Hi! I just found your blog! I love it! Congratulations on your wedding! The video is amazing! I really want to get your feedback on Greektown. We are in the negotiating phase and I want to make sure it is a great place. How did they treat you? How was the food? Did you feel like the venue was large enough for your guests? I have so many questions. I am so scared about whether it is the right place and have not booked it because of the anxiety. I would truly appreciate your response!
Continue to enjoy marital bliss! You were such a beautiful bride!

Hi Rhona- I’m assuming you’re planning a wedding! If so, CONGRATS!
I just have a question, are you asking about the Athenium Hotel in Greektown or Greektown Casino-Hotel? Often those two locations are mixed-up. I don’t have too many posts talking about the reception site specifically! So, I just want to be sure we’re talking about the same venue!
Thanks,
Bridgette

All – If anyone has anxiety BEFORE you’ve even booked a venue, that is a clear sign that you should continue your search. Remember, the best deal isn’t always the best choice.
GTC- Chat soon.

Rachel – Thank you. That’s a huge compliment coming from you.
When I found out you were booked I was SOOOO disappointed, but I remember thinking how lucky some other bride was to have you! You’ve got it, lady!
